Associação Acorde
Associação Acorde was founded in 2001, by a group of residents close to Jardim Tomé that were unsatisfied with the lack of public politics to cope with problems that affects children and adolescent and were committed to revert this reality. To comprehend the local context, this group funded a research within the Public Junior Consulting at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, that brought up needs and demands of other assembled social initiatives in other São Paulo regions. Since its foundation, Acorde has assisted more than 14.000 people in its facilities, with an amazing 1.200 m2 of build area in a 12.000 m2 terrain.

PROJECTS

Programa Brincarte
Brincarte (play+art in Portuguese) program serves children from 6 to 9 years old, daily in the morning and afternoon periods. Play is key to human development, therefore, our educators stimulate curiosity in learning through ludic and outdoors activities, besides sports, cook, music, educommunication and environment workshops – BioArte. This way, Brincarte works on trust by bonding and connection between the children and educator in a welcoming and planned space that allows the complete development of multiple skills.

Programa Cativarte
Cativarte (captivate+art) program serves children from 6 to 17 years old, daily in the morning and afternoon periods, and supports the formation process of the individual, repertoire enlargement and autonomy exercise, preparing for future decision-making. Through cook, studio, theatre, music, educommunication, sport, Taekwando and environment – BioArte, our boys and girls put up to practice the free choice to participate in activities that most awaken their curiosities! Cativarte, also has a Group of Youngs (adolescent tutors) that with the guidance of educators develop their competencies for the real world, far beyond Acorde.

Programa Centro Cultural Comunitário
With open workshops and cultural events, in the evening, the Cultural Community Center, promotes a space for the rescue of community coexistence and knowledge exchange. This way we strengthen the community bond among the families and contribute to the collective construction in favor of social relations improvement. We believe that by providing this hangout, we strengthen the community and its families to face and manage the problems that arise on their daily basis.
