Lins de Vasconcellos​

Formally constituted in 2000, the entity was established in the Guaiapó Residential Complex taking into account the priority of the moment, which holds weekly lectures for the more than 123 families, with a strong emphasis on Christian morality, and theoretical classes for young apprentices.

PROJECTS

Lins de Vasconcellos has been serving families and young people at risk for more than 20 years through their projects:

  • Assistance to Families: Monthly distribution of basic baskets, milk, vegetables and vegetables, as well as distribution of clothing and furniture, when donations are received;
  • Pre-Apprentice: The pre-apprentice has follow-up meetings with professionals from the entity, family support and initiatives aimed at personal development. This project is a requirement for admission to the learning program that is also developed by the entity;
  • Young Apprentice: The learning project occurs when the Apprentice, duly enrolled in a vocational institution and Lins de Vasconcellos, is hired as an apprentice employee and performs its activities through the learning contract;
  • Service of Coexistence and Strengthening of Bonds: Its main guideline is to complement social protection to the family, from direct support to children, teenagers and their families, predominantly beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família Program, linked or graduates of special social protection programs and services. It seeks to complement social work with the family, preventing the occurrence of social risk situations and strengthening family and community coexistence. Since 2017 the Institution also began to serve elderly people over 60 years of age, focusing on healthy aging;
  • Temporary Courses: Lectures on prevention and direct treatment actions on pediculosis and scabies, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and an annual psoriasis campaigns aimed at children assisted and their families.
